The beautiful sunshine of last weekend was followed by some early week rain. Now, as we enter this coming weekend, we are back to more SUN & FUN, which is enhancing Ellicottville’s Spring Time. The “Ya Gotta Regatta” was a real hit because of the wonderful weather we just experienced and also the late April snowstorm that really filled up our creeks and rivers. This event just keeps getting better every year.

Our music and other FUN STUFF are also right up there. For the week of Friday May11, 2012 through Thursday May17, 2012, we will have nine Bands, two DJ’s, a couple of Sound System Music Events, a really neat Mothers Day Appreciation Party plus multiple meal and drink specials taking place in all of the wonderful restaurants and clubs located in the Ellicottville area.

The band parade kicks off at 7:00 PM Friday in Balloons with “The Strangers” one of Ellicottville’s Favorite Bands, ROCKIN The House. As we all know, Mitch, Joel, Jerry and Peter G, who are “The Strangers”, put on one of the best music shows we get to experience here in Ellicottville. This excellent cover band does tunes from the forties to today, with their emphasis being on the eighties, in the style and sound of the original artist. This will be another really FUN Friday evening of music in Balloons.  You may wish to arrive early because “The Strangers” will draw a crowd. Following “The Strangers” “Personable DJ John Barry” will take over, doing his very friendly, LIVE, “Personality Show Off Show” from Balloons Sound & Light Booth. As always, John’s LIVE Show will include neat danceable tunes and interesting conversation till close.
