Play Golf America Day Draws all Ages

Holiday Valley’s Play Golf America Day on June 17 drew about 175 participants ranging from age 4 to 81 who came just to have fun or to get serious about their game. Six instructors were on hand to help players improve their game. Participants could take four fun but difficult challenges in the “Big Break HV,” and Nike and Callaway Golf representatives were on hand to fit clubs and sign out demo equipment.

According to Steven Carney, director of summer and golf operations at Holiday Valley, “Any way we can introduce golf to someone new or help you continue to get better is what the PGA of America is all about and it is definitely something Holiday Valley wants to be a big part of.”

Holiday Valley looks forward to hosting Play Golf America Day again on Father’s Day in 2013.
