Memorial Day and Camping Make It a Family Tradition

It’s time to dust off that tent, clean out that RV or just throw some sleeping bags in the trunk. Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, and for many campers, it marks the beginning of camping season.

Western New Yorkers are lucky to have such a variety of campgrounds to choose from. Whether you’re looking for an action-packed weekend with friends in a fully furnished cabin, or a quiet week with your family on a secluded tent site, the Enchanted Mountain region has something for everyone looking to make great camping memories this summer.

Allegany State Park is New York’s largest state park, boasting 321 campsites and 364 cabins.
