The Olean Kennel Club will be holding their annual Agility Trials Sept. 6–8 at the Allegany Fire Department Community Grounds on North First Street in the Village of Allegany.
Event hours are Friday noon–5 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
Agility is one of the fastest growing dog sports in the United States and is described as a sport in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. Dogs run off-leash with no food or toys as incentives, and the handler can touch neither dog nor obstacles.
The Agility Trials are free and open to the public. Bring your family to the event to learn, enjoy a few fun activities and watch demonstrations of this amazing dog sport.
