Eunice M. Linsler, 81, Salamanca, NY

Eunice M. Linsler, 81, of Salamanca, N.Y., passed away Oct. 15, 2013, at Absolut of Salamanca after an extended illness. She was born Nov. 17, 1931, in West Valley, N.Y. the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (Goodemote) Feldman.

Mrs. Linsler was employed at Cattaraugus County Social Services for many years until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Holy Name of Mary RC Church in Ellicottville and its Altar and Rosary Society, Holy Cross Club, and Ellicottville American Legion Post #659. She served as past president of the Salamanca Lions Club. She was a 1950 graduate of West Valley Central School and had attended St. John the Baptist RC Church in West Valley.

Mrs. Linsler is survived by a son, James P. Linsler Jr. of Ellicottville; six daughters: Donna Stratford of  Gaffney, SC, Doris Linsler of Cheektowaga, N.Y., Denise (Rod) Mitchell of Ellicottville, Mary Kay (Mickey) Kelly of Morningview, Ky., Connie Valentine of Nashville, Tenn.,  and Jeanette R. (Stephen) Woodruff of Morrisonville, N.Y.; seven grandchildren: Matthew and Dustin Linsler, William (Rebecca) Stratford, Michael  Stratford, and Erik, Rachael and Andrew Woodruff; and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers: Donald, Gerald (Gertie), Louis and Clifford (Valerie) Feldman, and a sister, Eleanor Brown, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Ellsworth and Raymond Feldman, and two sisters, Doris DiGati and Marilyn Schaffner.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke Funeral Home, 411 Rock City St., Little Valley, on Oct. 17, 4-8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary RC Church, Ellicottville. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in honor of her daughter, Donna Stratford, or her niece, Christine Anspach.
