Jefferson Street Cemetery Plaque Unveiling Nov. 14

Named to National Register of Historic Places

All are welcome to attend the unveiling  ceremony appointing the Jefferson Street Cemetery to the National Register of Historic Places on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 1:30 p.m. Guests will be greeted by small group of musicians and a videographer will document the ceremony.

Ellicottville Town Supervisor John Burrell will act as Master of Ceremonies, with comments by Senator Cathy Young, Assemblyman Joe Giglio, Nicole Walter, and WNY Ambassador for the William G. Pomeroy Foundation, and David Woolley, family member of Nathaniel Fish.

The certificate will be presented by Virginia Bartow, of New York State Parks Recreation & Historic Preservation, to John Burrell. Senator Young and Ellicottville Town Historian Mary Elizabeth Dunbar will unveil the plaque.

The public is invited to attend a reception following the event at the Town Center at 28 Parkside Drive.
