Obituary: James B. Puszcz, Mansfield

James B. Puszcz ,75, of Kent Rd passed away Thursday April 10, 2014 at Olean General Hospital.

He was born June 18, 1938 in Great Valley, NY the son of the late Joseph and Lorretta (Kuhaneck) Puszcz.

On November 6, 1971 he married the former Margaret Eddy who survives.

Mr. Puszcz owned and operated the Sunset View Dairy Farm.He also had worked at Signore Inc.and York- Merit Products both in Ellicottville, NY, Triple S Auto Dismantling in Great Valley, NY, Town of Mansfield Highway Dept. and as a night watchman at Onoville Marina.

He was a Deacon at the Eddyville Community Church, member of the Town of Mansfield Planning and Zoning Board and a Town of Mansfield Councilman.He also operated Puszcz’s Cider Mill and Maple Products.He was an avid hunter and former member of the Great Valley Vol. Fire Dept.

Besides his wife of 42 years he is survived by a daughter Anne (Robert) Adams of Little Valley, NY and 2 grandchildren Haylee and Lucus.Also surviving are 3 brothers Paul Kuhaneck of Texas, Alois (Lillian) Puszcz and Robert Puszcz both of Great Valley, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke Funeral Home 411 Rock City Street in Little Valley, NY on Monday April 14, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 15, 2014 at 11am from the Little Valley United Methodist Church, with Rev. Joseph Pascoe, officiating.

Burial will be in Maples Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Ellicottville- Great Valley Ambulance Service or the Little Valley United Methodist Church.
