The inaugural NIGHT LIGHTS at Ellicottville’s Nannen Arboretum is being extended an additional weekend due to popular demand and better weather. The illumination of the Nannen Arboretum was originally going to conclude Saturday, May 31, but has now been extended an additional weekend, Thursday, June 5 to Saturday, June 7.
Despite being hampered by cold and rainy weather, NIGHT LIGHTS at Ellicottville’s Nannen Arboretum has been well received by attendees since its opening on May 16. Growing attendance and social media buzz have led organizers to keep open NIGHT LIGHTS an additional week to accommodate the rising interest. The goal of a NIGHT LIGHTS show is to create a soothing environment for guests as they examine the natural world bathed in lighting. Guests walk the arboretum’s paved pathways where the trees are illuminated with colorful and programmed lighting. Entertainment is featured each evening of NIGHT LIGHTS.
NIGHT LIGHTS has been a nice addition to the Ellicottville’s year-round offering of activities and events. With the show concluding on Saturday, June 7, it will complement the Bicycle Weekend happening that weekend in town.
Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., however, due to darkness, the lights will not be visible until 8:30 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and teens, and kids age 12 and under are free with an accompanying adult. Tickets can be purchased at the front gate of the arboretum. The Nannen Arboretum is located at the Cornell Cooperative Extension building at 28 Parkside Dr., Ellicottville, NY 14731.
“NIGHT LIGHTS at Ellicottville’s Nannen Arboretum” is created by SitlerHQ, the same group behind the popular NIGHT LIGHTS at the Gardens (Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens), NIGHT LIGHTS at Griffis Sculpture Park (East Otto, NY) and NIGHT LIGHTS at The Heron (Sherman, NY).
“NIGHT LIGHTS at Ellicottville’s Nannen Arboretum” will complement the numerous other springtime activities occurring in the charming four-season resort town. The WNY village is popular in the warm months for golf, mountain biking, the Holiday Valley Sky High Adventure Park, shopping, dining and more.
