Art Raffle Tickets Now Available: Works Valued Over $10,000

For more than 16 years, the Cattaraugus County Arts Council (CCAC) has worked diligently to improve quality of life in the region and advocate for the role of arts and culture in the Southern Tier.

Tickets are now available for the Cause for Celebration Raffle, CCAC’s annual fundraiser that supports the organization’s mission of promoting the creation, presentation, and appreciation of arts and culture. Each ticket offers a 1-in-100 chance of winning one of six original works of art and allows entry for two into the raffle drawing party on Saturday, July 12.

The Cause for Celebration Raffle includes artwork that has been generously donated by some of the region’s leading artists.

The 2014 raffle includes work from Mikel Wintermantel CM, Angie To, Peter Jones, Jennifer Miller, David Higgins and Patricia Eckstrom and has a combined value of more than $10,000!

Through their donations, these artists continue to support and believe in the mission of the arts council, helping to fund a year of workshops, kids programming, CCAC’s member show, contemporary exhibitions, community improvements and advocacy for quality of life in the Southern Tier.

Tickets for the raffle are available for $100 each and only 100 tickets will be sold, providing excellent odds of winning one of the six donated works. Each ticket also includes admission for two to the Raffle Drawing Party scheduled for Saturday, July 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the arts council’s Allegany studio. Guests will enjoy delicious catering from the Brother’s Bistro in Olean and a free beer and wine open bar will also be available.

CCAC’s Executive Director, Tina Hastings, commented, “The Cause for Celebration Raffle is such an exciting event for the arts council, especially with such impressive and generous donations from our regional artists. This fundraiser is essential to the work we do here at CCAC and allows us to continue to extend our programs and services even further into the community. As the arts council’s new director, I look forward to meeting many of our wonderful supporters at the Raffle Drawing Party and anticipate a constructive year ahead for the organization.”
