Sunday, Dec. 21
By Jennie Acklin
Ellicottville’s newest spa, Ellicottville Salt Cave Halotherapy Spa, is holding a Holiday Open House this Sunday Dec. 21. Come join owner Tracy Draper and staff from 2–5 p.m.
You can look forward to appetizers and a variety of beverages, all served in unique ways. How about some fresh made salsa served in Himalayan salt bowls? Or fresh popped popcorn drizzled with chocolate and sprinkled with Himalayan salt? Or margaritas served in salt glasses?
Need to finish (or start) your holiday shopping?
Ellicottville Salt Cave offers a large selection of pink Himalayan rock salt products. For the kitchen, you’ll find cooking salt slabs, sticks, bowls and glasses. Pick up salt lamps, bath salts and salt licks for your home, inside and out. Take home some of the most comfortable spa clothing. Best of all, gift certificates are available for those who can’t decide.
Draper also encourages everyone to come take a tour of her facility and learn a little about the health benefits of salt inhalation. If you’ve never been in a salt cave — this is your chance to experience the tranquil atmosphere of a peaceful salt cave, encrusted on all sides with gorgeous pink salt crystals and healing salt-laced vapor created by a gently flowing waterfall.
Ellicottville Salt Cave Halotherapy Spa opened to the public last month and it Western New York’s first authentic European-built salt cave. The mineral-rich microclimate of salt caves has been known for centuries as a healing power for those suffering from respiratory ailments such as allergies, colds, bronchitis, asthma and hay fever.
The spa offers a variety of services, including salt cave halotherapy, halotherapy massage, Swedish massage and infrared sauna treatments you can purchase separately or in conveniently priced packages.
Ellicottville Salt Cave Halotherapy Spa is located at 32 West Washington St. in Ellicottville. Visit their website at EllicottvilleSaltCave.com for more information or call (716) 699-2068 to make an appointment.
