Support for Kids Escaping Drugs
This Sunday, Jan. 4, HoliMont will be filled with hundreds of skiers and boarders who want to make a difference in the lives of adolescents and their families who are struggling with drug and alcohol dependency. The fundraising event features individual skiing and boarding races, a must-see Lake Effect Fire Fighter race featuring firefighters racing down the slopes in their full fire gear, a silent auction and a post-event party and medal presentation. There’s a minimum donation of $60 for non-members. HoliMont and Ski Patrol members may attend for a $20 contribution. All proceeds support Kids Escaping Drugs, a non-profit organization that works to ensure that quality alcohol and substance addiction education and treatment services are available to adolescents, adults and their families to foster a healthy WNY community. On-site registration begins at 8 a.m. in the main chalet at the KED table. For registration and more information, visit www.makeachangewny.org or call (716) 827-9462.
