Love Harleys, live music and the fabulous atmosphere of Holiday Valley? Then this event is for you! Don’t miss the third annual Harley-Day Valley on Jan. 24, when Holiday Valley and Gowanda Harley-Davidson (GHD) team up to bring the biggest winter biker party to the Valley.

You don’t have to be a biker to attend. “Everyone is invited – skiers, riders and everyone else – to have some mid-winter fun,” said Jane Eshbaugh, Holiday Valley’s marketing director.

“This event will give riders an opportunity to get out during the winter and introduce new people to riding, as well as introduce riders to skiing,” explained Delaney Peters, GHD’s marketing manager.

Think skiing and snowboarding look fun but never learned to do them? Now’s your chance! Head to the second floor of the Holiday Valley Lodge and register for learn-to-ski or -ride lessons starting at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Special rates for Harley-Day Valley guests are part of this month’s National Learn-a-Snowsport Month. And be sure to check out the special lodging packages for this action-packed weekend, some of which include lessons— call (716) 699-2345 for info.

If you’re coming to learn about Harleys, you may as well test drive one, right? No, not in the snow! GHD brings along its Harley-Davidson Jumpstart® stationary simulator, which allows you to run through the gears, get a feel for the engine and make a lot of noise.

In addition, bikes will be on display throughout the resort, and guests can purchase Harley-Day Valley merchandise, including new, collectible t-shirts specially designed for the event, original Harley-Davidson tees and more. Plus, there will be a demonstration of some battery-operated, wearable, heated gear for when you’re riding, skiing, boarding, hunting or doing anything else outdoors in the cold.

From 3-7 p.m., be sure to head to the Harley-Day Valley on the second floor of the Holiday Valley Lodge. The party, which is open to all, will feature food and drink specials, as well as “country outlaw” music by Uncle Ben’s Remedy, which, according to its Facebook page, “plays country versions of rock songs, rock versions of country songs, and hip hop versions of nothing.”

Party attendees will have a chance to win a snowboard and many other great prizes, too.

“(Harley-Day Valley) is just a fun day for guests and staff, on and off the slopes,” said Eshbaugh. “We’re encouraging Harley Riders to come learn to ski or ride, but we also want to give our guests an up close and personal experience with the big bikes.”

By combining awesome bikes, winter sports and a party featuring a well-known band, “this is a great way to show people what the southern tier has to offer all year round,” said Peters.

Biker or not, Harley-Day Valley is a surefire way to beat cabin fever. Don’t miss it!
