Art Off the Beaten Path at Huntington-Eckstrom Studios

pateckstrom_2014_jpgNestled by the Nannen Arboretum in the Town Center building are the art studios of Sean Huntington and Patricia Eckstrom. The studio is open for visitors and both artists welcome the public to come and watch the artists at work and see their newest creations hanging on their gallery wall. Now is a great time to stop by and see them in action as Pat and Sean are creating works like mad preparing for this summer’s show season!

Pat Eckstrom’s work consists of both acrylic paintings and unique paper sculptures based on natural elements like fish, leaves and trees. Pat shows extensively through western New York, including the Chautauqua Institution and The Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts in Buffalo. www.patriciaeckstromartist.com.

Sean Huntington, who specializes in semi-abstract watercolor landscapes and tree paintings, also has been getting pieces ready for two big upcoming shows. The first is at the new Canvas Salon and Gallery in Clarence, N.Y., March 1 through May 31. Sean will also be showing his work in this year’s Junior League of Buffalo Decorator Show House on Delaware Avenue April 25 through May 17. www.seanstrees.com or call (716) 244-2943.

The art studios are open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday through Monday and by appointment, at 28 Parkside Dr. in Ellicottville. To get there, turn onto Fillmore Drive from Route 219 and head to the Town Center building.
