Looking to strengthen your core and get ready for summer? Core Performance, which opened in 2009, is ready to whip you into shape in its new, state-of-the-art facility.
“My classes were too large for the present space and I really wanted to have showers and more room to provide more options for my clients,” said Kim Duke, owner of Core Performance.
Duke described the new facility: “The space is amazing—2,000 square feet with 10-foot ceilings. There are shower facilities for men and women as well as a TRX station and plenty of space for strength training.”
While the new space will be bigger and better than before, the move will not be far from the old. It’s in the same building in Ellicottville Square on Bristol Lane, just around the back side, near the apartments. There is plenty of parking and a separate entrance.
What can clients of Core Performance expect?
“We are specific to strength and core training,” Duke said. “We do not use machines but instead use dumbbells, kettlebells, TRX bands, Swiss balls, Bosu balls and body weight. We train our bodies to be the machine!”
In addition to the new facility, new classes will also be available. “We will be offering more classes and specialized classes for training younger athletes as well as older adults,” Duke explained. “I have lots of ideas.”
The new gym is tentatively scheduled to open on June 1. Stay tuned to The Ellicottville Times for information about the previous space’s new tenant!
