Vote for Your Favorite Artists by May 4

Come to First Annual Arts & Culture Awards Party

Save the date for Saturday, June 6, when the Cattaraugus County Arts Council will host the 2015 Celebration of the Arts Awards Party at Bartlett Country Club, in Olean, N.Y. It’s the premier event of its kind in the tristate area and CCAC needs your input by Monday, May 4.

It only takes about 5–10 minutes to nominate your favorite arts and culture contributors — individuals, businesses and organizations from Cattaraugus, Allegany and Chautauqua counties are all eligible. The categories are Lifetime Achievement, Distinguished Artist of the Year, Emerging Talent, Supporter of the Arts & Culture Sector and Volunteer of the Year. The DEC Regrant Program of the Year award will also be presented by the arts council.

Anyone can nominate their favorites, including yourself or your own organization. Just go to www.myartscouncil.net (click on Celebration of the Arts Party link on the home page) to fill out the Survey Monkey nomination form. If you need a paper nomination form, please call (716) 372-7455 and one will be mailed to you. Winners will be chosen by a panel made up of the CCAC Board of Directors.

Everyone is invited to attend the Celebration of the Arts Awards Party. Just purchase your tickets by Friday, May 22, by visiting www.myartscouncil.net, emailing tina@myartscouncil.net or calling CCAC at (716) 372-7455.

The adult cocktail party evening will include the arts and culture awards, a fine art raffle of five original works valued at approximately $10,000, live music by Ade Adu, free open bar, delicious hors d’oeuvres, a lavish dessert table, a fine art silent auction and fantastic door prizes like tickets to music and theater performances. Fine art raffle donations to date have been received from Barbara Fox, Mikel Wintermantel, Jason Green and Tom Annear, making for an exciting mix of styles and media.

Corporate sponsors to date include Dwyer, Black Lyle, LLP and Worth Smith Hardware, with additional commitments in progress. Additional sponsorship levels are available by contacting call Tina Hastings at (716) 372-7455 for details.

VIP tickets are $100 and include one party admission and one art raffle entry. VIP ticketholders may also increase their odds by purchasing additional raffle tickets for only $25, with no limit — and you don’t have to be present to win! General admission tickets are $50 and include the party, a chance to win valuable door prizes and silent auction items.
