Holiday Valley and Cattaraugus Container Donate Warmth to SWAG

This week, Ron Kubicki, Holiday Valley Snowsports Director, has been inventorying and sending some 800 pieces of retired parkas and pants to HV’s laundry facility to get them ready to ship overseas. He contacted Cattaraugus Container of Franklinville about purchasing some shipping boxes.

As he explained to Cattaraugus Container’s Dee McDowell, Holiday Valley participates in the National Ski Areas Association’s SWAG (Sharing Warmth Around the Globe) program. The SWAG program works with ski areas all over the country to distribute retired ski resort uniforms to those in need in cold weather countries throughout the world.

After a few more questions about the program, McDowell asked if they could participate by offering to donate all the necessary boxes to the cause. Kubicki answered with a hearty YES!

Thanks for being such great community neighbors!
