The hiking and biking trails at Holiday Valley will be closed from Aug. 3 through Aug. 9, when they will be hosting the International Bowhunters World Championships. Arrows and hikers and bikers don’t mix!
They do, however, invite the community to come experience the IBO. There is a vendor village with all things bowhunting, chicken and ribs barbeques, and evening shootouts at Yodeler where you can watch these world-class archers perform.
The Spruce Lake Chairlift will be operating and rides are $5 per person. There is a 3-D practice range at the top of Spruce that is open to the public. And, of course the Holiday Valley Open gives local archers a chance to compete without having to qualify for the championships. More details to follow!
