Art in the Park, Olean’s original outdoor art show and sale, celebrates its 66th anniversary this year on Sunday, July 26 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on the North Union Street campus of Jamestown Community College. The Cattaraugus County Arts Council (CCAC) is pleased to be the producer once again of this historic event. Art in the Park provides visitors a wonderful opportunity to meet and talk with regional artists working in a variety of mediums: painting, photography, jewelry, graphics, ceramics, fiber arts, mixed media and basket weaving are among those that will be represented at this year’s event.
Held in conjunction with Taste of Olean, Art in the Park is a one-day juried outdoor art exhibition and sale dedicated to excellence in the visual arts as well as promoting the talented artists in our region. This outdoor event attracts over 6,000 people thanks to Art in the Park and Taste of Olean occurring simultaneously. There is something for everyone at Art in the Park. Children can get their face painted or do a small art project, and the wide variety of price points make it possible for everyone to go home with a handmade treasure.
