Calling all hard core trail runners! Head to Holiday Valley on Sunday, July 26 for the EVL-4 and EVL-9.
The 2015 EVL-4 & EVL-9 are on-deck and hope to see you this year for another amazing day of single track trail racing. Athletes from over five surrounding states descend on Ellicottville to experience the demanding courses that send entrants home with an eerie grin.
Details are as follows;
EVL-4 has a 10 a.m. start: 4.2 miles of wicked terrain in a demanding ski-resort setting drawing every ounce of energy into this 4-banger. 700’ of elevation over this one-lap course featuring single track, rock gardens and downhill sections that will make you check your head.
EVL-9: 9.7 Miles of HARDCORE in one of the most demanding and hip twisting trail running races in our region. 1,200’ of elevation over this one-lap course featuring two water/aid stations and deep forest trails. No games, floaties or jungle jimmies—just hard core single track trail racing for today’s tenured athlete on manicured single track on resort and state land trails. Due to the technical nature and length of the EVL-9, walkers are not permitted.
The EVL-9 is a stop on the Eastern Grip Trail Running Series.
Number pickup and registration will take place on Saturday, July 25at Ellicottville Brewing Company from 5-7 p.m. and on race-day from 8 a.m. at the Holiday Valley Mountain Sports Center.
