The Cattaraugus County Museum’s “Summer at the Stone House” event series will continue on Thursday, July 23 as Mason Winfield will be on hand to give a talk entitled “Cattaraugus County X-Files,” focusing on some of the more unusual aspects of local history.
Mr. Winfield is an author, researcher, storyteller, and supernatural historian. He studied English and Classics at Denison University, earned a master’s degree in British literature at Boston College, and studied poetry and fiction at SUNY Buffalo.
He currently works as a journalist, fiction writer, lecturer and media guest, and has written a number of books on the supernatural history of Western New York.
The program will take place at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Mr. Winfield will have books available for sale and autograph after his talk.
