Ellicottville is known for showing visitors a good time and providing new experiences, so it’s not a surprise that there’s a new festival with an artistic bent taking place November 21-22 this year.

Holiday Valley is hosting the first annual Winter Arts Festival, produced by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council (CCAC). The event, which in past years has been known as the Routes to Art Holiday Sale, has been transformed to include so much more.

This two-day, juried art exhibition and sale is known for its quality and selection in all price points.

Tina Hastings, executive director of CCAC said, “We are excited to bring this new event to Holiday Valley. One of our missions is to provide opportunities for artists to share their work with the community and visitors to the region. The Winter Arts Festival is a great time of year to support artists by coming out and taking advantage of handmade, local works of art for the gift-giving season.”

Art lovers have a lot to look forward to this year. Don’t miss a great opportunity to buy from the finest artists and artisans in the area, who will be offering original paintings, prints, stained glass, jewelry, cards, pottery and so much more, ranging from affordable to collector pricing.

It’s a great way to start your holiday shopping with everything to see and do under one roof!

“I look forward to participating in the Winter Arts Festival this year. Holiday Valley is a great location in which to display our work, and it is a wonderful chance for the public to purchase high quality art in our rural area,” said Elliott Hutten, a talented and experienced potter from East Otto.

Event planners are mapping out two days of fun for the whole family, including a children’s art workstation, live entertainment, local charity donation opportunities, a fun cocktail party evening on Friday, Nov. 21 and more. Come and visit with the artists, ask questions about their creative process and browse the vast selection.

Hutten said, “I appreciate all the CCAC does to make events like this available and I encourage my fellow artists to take advantage of this opportunity!”

Experience all the festival has to offer and explore the charming village of Ellicottville by making it a getaway weekend with your hubby or friends. Lodging packages are being planned by Holiday Valley.
