The Salamanca Garden Club is proud to announce its upcoming Flower and Art Show to be held on Saturday, August 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the United Congregational Methodist Church at 134 Broad Street, Salamanca. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited.
Visitors will enjoy the beautiful floral displays and have many opportunities for learning and pleasure.
Educational demonstrations begin at noon with a session on baking with herbs. At 12:30 p.m. there will be a program on mixed containers. Fairy gardens will be the topic at 1 p.m., followed by floral arranging at 1:30 p.m.
The Garden Club also has many artists within its membership, and eight of them will have their work for sale and show. These artists have created everything from greeting cards to watercolors, felted items to garden fancies, photography to stained glass and landscapes to cement items.
Children are welcome to attend with a parent and participate in activities created just for them. They will learn about trees and take home a potted maple. They will also have the opportunity to paint or color three dimensional butterflies.
Visitors may participate in a 50/50 and Chinese Auction of garden related items, plus Sinn Valley Gardens will have perennials for sale and there will be free refreshments!
Come appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds us and enjoy interacting with all that the Flower and Art Show has to offer.
Please use the back door of the church to enter. Any questions should be directed to Nan Miller, 945-3845.
