The Cattaraugus County Museum’s “Summer at the Stone House” series resumes on Thursday, Aug. 13 with a program on the postal history of Cattaraugus County. The speaker will be Mr. Jack Searles, who is currently in the process of writing a book on that topic.
Mr. Searles has collected postage stamps for over 45 years, specializing in US Possessions and US and British Commonwealth stamps issued prior to 1954.
In addition to his strong interest in the postal history of Cattaraugus County, he is also a long-time member of the Olean Stamp Club and a past president of that organization.
The program will take place at 7 pm and will be free and open to the public. Call (716) 353-8200 with any questions.
