With only two short weeks left before Labor Day weekend, the unofficial end of summer, it’s crunch time for that summer bucket list!

Don’t miss your chance for adventure at Holiday Valley’s Sky High, where you can zipline, navigate obstacles, climb to the treetops and soar down the mountain all in one day! Sky High is open daily through Sept. 7, and after that, is open only on weekends.

Take in the last of the summer scenery on Holiday Valley’s weekend chairlift rides. Enjoy the warm breeze as you head up to Spruce Lake, and enjoy the greenery before it turns to orange and yellow.

If you haven’t cooled off at the Holiday Valley Pool Complex this summer, there are only limited days left! Enjoy a lap pool, toddler pool with two mini waterfalls and the activity pool compete with slide. The neighboring Cabana Bar is just steps away—treat yourself to poolside food and drinks that will make you feel like you’re on vacation, but hurry—the pool complex is only open through Sept. 7.

Allegany State Park is fun year-round, but there’s just something about being there during peak season. Head to the final Hootenanny of the season on Thursday, Sept. 3, where Sally Marsh will host her famous high-energy sing-along at the Quaker Amphitheater at 8 p.m. Soak up the sun at the two beaches before they close for the season after Labor Day weekend, and take advantage of a variety of free educational programming offered daily at the park before school is back in session. You can even watch a movie under the stars at the Quaker Amphitheater, with three shows left this season.

Love live music and bikes? Then be sure to stop by the Armor Inn’s Bike Days, happening Sundays through Sept. 13, where you can check out the coolest bikes around and hear the hottest bands perform from 2 to 6 p.m.

Be sure to leave time to give back! The annual Tuscan Moon Fundraiser, a Tribute to Michael Kearns, will be held at Holiday Valley on Aug. 29. Get your tickets today, and help support the EVL Rotary while enjoying delicious foods from the top area restaurants.

Have more time to fill? There’s no shortage of fun end-of-summer activities in Ellicottville.

Go on a nature walk at Nannen Arboretum, stock up on farm-fresh produce at the area’s farmers markets (and get canning!), hike or bike along the area’s miles and miles of trails.

Whether you prefer action-packed or lazy summer days, you’re sure to enjoy them in Ellicottville. Fall will be here before you know it—be sure to say hello to fun before you say goodbye to summer!
