The Boardroom Snowboard Shop is proud to announce the opening of a second storefront at 16 Washington Street in Ellicottville, aptly named “The Boardroom on Main.”
Loyal fans and customers of The Boardroom will be able to expect the same level of product quality, customer service and snowboard-centric good vibes as the original location at 6113 Route 219.
The Timkeys partnered with John Rounds, who will be opening his own outdoor- and lifestyle-themed shop called “Adventure Bound on the fly.” Rounds, whose parents owned the original Adventure Bound at the same location in the 1970s, approached The Boardroom’s Mike Timkey (who worked for John’s parents) to discuss a potential partnership.
Adventure Bound on the fly will occupy the main floor of the building, while The Boardroom on Main will reside on the lower floor. Renovations on the building began last week, with both businesses expecting to open their doors by Ellicottville’s Fall Festival Columbus Day Weekend.
“We are incredibly excited to explore this new endeavor,” Boardroom owner Mike Timkey said. “Knowing John and his family made it easy for us to discuss his offer further, and I have a personal connection to the Adventure Bound name — I worked there before I started my own shop. The town of Ellicottville is only growing, and this is an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.”
The Boardroom on Main will offer all of the awesome brands the original location offers, including Lib Tech, Burton, GoPro, Oakley, Stance Socks, Smith, Giro, Salomon Snowboarding, Union Bindings, SP Gadgets, Sims Snowboards, Outdoor Tech, GNU, Roxy, Never Summer, Under Armour, Volcom, Celtek and Dakine.
