By Alicia Dziak

Are you ready to rock it? Don’t miss the last festival weekend of the summer (yes, it’s still officially summer!), a.k.a. Rock N’ Roll Weekend, where awesome cars meet awesome music for a weekend of non-stop entertainment.

“(This year) we will have Rumourz, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, playing at The Winery of Ellicottville Mainstage on Monroe Street on Saturday,” said Chris Chapman, media and communication manager for the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce. “We’re also hosting Elvis impersonator Terry Buchwald, at the Gazebo on Sunday.”

You’ll be dancin’ in the streets and in the EVL hot spots all weekend long with a full lineup of live music, and Chapman noted that more is still being added.

On Friday, Sept. 18, check out energetic party hits by the Party Squad at Madigan’s from 5 to 9 p.m., fiery blues by Ron Spencer at Balloons from 7 to 10 p.m. and classic rock by Live & Kickin’ at 9 p.m. at the Gin Mill.

On Saturday, Sept. 19, don’t miss Rumourz on the Winery Mainstage, performing from 1 to 4 p.m. Head to Madigan’s from 2 to 5 p.m. for Michael DiSanto’s soul, R&B, jazz and reggae, and stay for jazzy and dirty blues by Hoagy and the Blues Bombers from 5 to 9 p.m. Head over to Balloons for a mixture of Americana, rockabilly, blues and soul by Andy Paxon from 6 to 9:30 p.m., and make the last stop of the night the Gin Mill, where West will be rockin’ starting at 9 p.m.

On Sunday, Sept. 20, return to Balloons for Andy Paxon, stop by the Gin Mill for the Hick Ups at 2 p.m., or head to the Village Gazebo for Terry Buchwald from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

If shiny, happy cars are your thing, you’ll love the 16th annual Classic Car Show, happening on Sunday, Sept. 20, from noon to 5 p.m. Roam the village streets and check out loads of cars, trucks and rods set up in class order to be judged by a panel of experienced car enthusiasts. Awards will be given in a variety of categories, such as antique, classic, custom, rods, convertibles and more. (Register your car at
