Nina Pauline Ploetz Book Signing at Christ Kindl Market Nov. 7

The Christ Kindl Market on Saturday, Nov. 7 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ellicottville from 9am to 4pm is the perfect place for a locally raised author to showcase and have her first book signing.

I Am, I Can I Will! A Jungle Dream, written by Nina Pauline Ploetz and illustrated by S.D. Lawrence of Saddleback Studio will be available for purchase at the sale. Nina Ploetz and SD Lawrence are “coming home” to share their joy and accomplishment with family and friends. Lawrence has spent many hours roaming the hills of Little Valley and Ellicottville while visiting with his family in the area.

With her father’s (John Ploetz) love of nature (Nannen Arboretum) and her mother’s (Shirley Neudeck Ploetz) love and compassion for service to others (office nurse, Cattaraugus school nurse, and many years’ of serving on the Little Valley Central School board), Nina Pauline Ploetz shares some if the same attributes.  Being part of a large family and living on a farm with a menagerie of animals, Ploetz developed a good sense for work, play, and a vivid imagination. Couple all of this with a strong faith and you have the essence of Nina.

Writing has always been a quiet passion of Nina’s.  She’s written many poems and stories for family and friends; occasionally sharing her words and whit at family gatherings and functions.  It is just more recently she has ventured out into a more public sharing of her thoughts, poems and stories.

I Am, I Can I Will! A Jungle Dream is Nina Pauline Ploetz’s first major publishing.

The poem/story touched those who read it, yet didn’t come to life until S.D. Lawrence added his amazing ideas and talents. His inspired and imaginative illustrations bring to life the story and the feelings that are felt when reading it. Lawrence’s art invites all the senses to get involved and brings the reader into the story.

Lawrence and Ploetz both share in their compassion for others and sense of service.  They would like everyone to know that part of the proceeds of each book sold goes to the charity Smile Train to help bring hope, courage and smiles to others.

May this inspired book touch every reader and encourage them to find their inner strength, hope and a sense of   personal value that lives inside!
