What better place to get your holiday shopping done than at Holiday Valley overlooking the slopes?

Join some of the region’s most talented fine artists and artisans for the first annual Winter Arts Festival Nov. 21–22 at Holiday Valley’s Main Lodge, presented by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council (CCAC).

Get started or finish up that holiday shopping, as two floors of the lodge will be transformed into unique displays of original paintings, prints, photographs, pottery, jewelry, baskets, woodcarving and fiber arts. In addition to giving your friends and family unique gifts, you’ll be supporting the handmade local movement!

CCAC is pleased to welcome new artists to this year’s event.

In addition to a fabulous shopping experience, guests will be entertained by some great local performers both days.

Saturday will feature Chordiac Arrest at 11 a.m., Ade Adu at 3:30 p.m. and Luke Yerpe & Charlotte Stock at 5 p.m. Sunday features the Honey Punks at noon and the trombone group Let It Slide at 1:30 p.m.

Bring the kids! Children can make two holiday ornaments from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Make a weekend of it and enjoy a pre-holiday getaway with specially priced lodging at the Inn at Holiday Valley, just $119 per room, including continental breakfast and use of the indoor/outdoor heated pool and hot tub! Once you’ve visited the Winter Arts Festival, you can head to the quaint downtown of Ellicottville and browse the many Village shops. Contact Holiday Valley to book your getaway at (716) 699-2345.

How about a chance to win some gifts? Purchase tickets and take your chance to win baskets from Hog Shed Studio, Studio 4 East, The Critter Ranch, Four Mile Brewing, John Harvard’s Brew House, Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, A. Jason Clemons Salon, a knife set courtesy of CUTCO, and tickets to Olean Community Theater’s Dec. 4, 5 and 6 performance of “Love, Loss and What I Wore” at the Palmer Opera House in Cuba, NY.

This year’s participating artists include Jennifer Acklin, Lindsey Ahrens, Cherie Antle, John Balacki, Judson Brown, Evelyn Brumwell, Charlotte Cappellino, Pamela Delyannis, Al Dornisch, Larry Downey, Denise Drummond, Karen Fitzpatrick, Barbara Fox, Theresa Heinz, Adriana Hernandez, Rocky Holland, Elliott Hutten, Kelsey Lynch, Tom Martin, Keith McKale, Penelope Minner, Deborah Moyer, Catherine Muehlbauer, Rose Nuszkowski, Ellen Paquette, Carolyn Raine, Samila Sosic, Michael Weishan, Eileen Weishan, Mikel Wintermantel, Lisa Yohan and Robin Zefers Clark.
