Sports Roundup: Titans Fall in Far West Regionals, 22-12

The Titans could not capitalize on drives inside the red zone last Saturday in Rochester against the Bishop Kearney Kings. The Titans were led by Seniors Tom Easton and Caleb Rinko on the offensive side of the ball, with Rinko rushing for more than 100 yards and a touchdown.

The Defense was led by Junior Preston Hutchinson with multiple tackles and assists, while Sophomore Austin Grinols had an interception to aid the defense. Football awards will be announced next week.

Zlockie Cleans Up on Awards for Girls Soccer

Star midfielder Morgan Zlockie has been named to the CCAA East Division All Stars first team, the Big 30 All Stars and the All Western New York first team.

The full list of CCAA East Division All Stars follows:

1st Team: Morgan Zlockie, Sr, Midfielder; Kaleigh Hunt, Sr, Defender; Shelby Toth, Sr, Defender

2nd Team: Cheyenne Maybee, Sr, Defender; Madison Swalcy, Jr, Midfielder; Shelby Imhoff, Jr, Midfielder

Honorable Mention: Brenna Cole, Sr, Forward; Robin Freaney, Fr, GK; Jenna Aldrich, Jr, Forward

Boys Varsity Soccer Awards Announced

The Eagles Boys Varsity Soccer Awards are as follows:

League Defensive MVP: Cole Lapi

1st Team All Stars: Cole Lapi, Matt DiDonato

2nd Team All Stars: Nick DiDonato, Quinn O’Rourke

Honorable Mention – Jack Haley

The team was Sectional Champions and Co-Far West Regional Champions and finished with an overall record of 12 – 4 – 3.

The Eagles Varsity Volleyball All-Star awards are:

1st Team: Marissa Hamilton

2nd Team: Kelsi Belz

Honorable Mention: Mackenzie Czapla

Basketball Season Starts

The Eagles girls modified basketball team beat Franklinville on Monday night. The 7th grade team 38-14 was led by Jillian Tomsick with 6 points, Saidy Bolya with 8 points and Kayla Krzanak with 12 points. The 8th grade team won 44-8 and was led by McKenna Smith with 18 points, Evelyn Nuzzo with 10 points and Megan Stuve with 6 points.

The soccer & volleyball banquet will be held on Monday, Nov. 23 at 6:30 at ECS. The football banquet will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at the Great Valley Fire Hall.
