There’s no reason to be stuck indoors this winter, and even if you’re not the biggest fan of the season, why not get out and have some much-deserved fun?
During the height of winter, Jan. 22-24 will bring the annual, but newly renamed and revamped, Winter Blues and Brews weekend to the village.
Formerly called Winter Blues Weekend, adding “Brews” to the name means the Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association will be in town to offer loads of great beer tasting opportunities as you try to shake off the winter doldrums. And what better way to enjoy the brews than while listening to the hottest blues bands around?
Talented musicians from all around the region will fill the village hot spots with everything from Memphis to Chicago-style, jazzy to soulful, and every kind of blues in between. You can look forward to performances by Miller and the Other Sinners, Tommy Z, the Heavenly Chillbillies and more.
“People should come out for a good time, great music at incredible venues throughout Ellicottville. This year, the addition of some of the best craft brewers in the area represented at venues is another reason for them to come out and beat the Winter Blues!” said Chris Chapman, media and communication manager for the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce, which is sponsoring the event. “Hot music, cool brews, awesome venues, what better reason to come out of hibernation?”
Mark your calendars for this action-packed weekend and plan a night (or two) out to take in some live music and sample all your favorite brews. Face that cabin fever head-on! As the date gets closer, be sure to check out the Ellicottville Times for a full schedule of events for Winter Blues and Brews weekend.
