On Sunday, U14/U12/U10/U8 athletes traveled to Kissing Bridge for the annual Dual Slalom race sponsored by Ellicottville ski shop Mud, Sweat & Gears (MSG).
After the athletes competed in their two ski runs, the top eight U14 and U12 men and women competed in a shoot-out for the title of King or Queen of the Mountain. Alec Nolan and Sierra Cappelli took home the U14 titles and new slalom skis, courtesy of MSG. Erik Shattenberg and Alison Martin were crowned for the U12 division.
Race results were as follows:
U14 Women: Hayly Fredrickson continued her breakout season taking the silver. Sierra Cappelli placed 4th, Lauren Thomas 5th, Cassidy Creager 6th and Logan Fredrickson 8th. Kate Masliwec was the only HoliMont female to crack the top ten, taking 10th.
