You’ve set the date. You’ve picked the venue. You’ve taken care of the details. Now it’s time to relax and have some fun!
Ellicottville is the perfect place to host all of your pre-wedding get-togethers. Whether it’s a shower, a bachelorette party, practice hair-dos for the big day or just some relaxing time with friends, you have a world of fun at your fingertips.
Anyone who knows Ellicottville knows there’s no shortage of places to hold a memorable shower. You can treat your guests to a tasty meal in a beautiful setting in private or banquet rooms offered at Dina’s, Holiday Valley, HoliMont, Cadillac Jack’s, Tips Up, EBC, The Silver Fox and Villaggio. Other places, such as Balloons, offer outdoor space for parties.
Have a special place picked out and want to bring the food there? Many restaurants, such as Dina’s and Tips Up, offer catering services as well.
Ready to party? Bachelorettes and their friends are always welcome at EVL’s hot spots. Grab your squad, some bling and perhaps a sash announcing just who you are, and get ready to have some fun! The Gin Mill hosts live bands every weekend. Balloons offers a variety of space for groups, and live music every Friday and Saturday, followed by a DJ spinning all the latest danceable jams on two dance floors. Tiaras welcome!
Following all that partying, you’ll need to rejuvenate. Head to a local spa for total R&R. Experience halotherapy at the Ellicottville Salt Cave, where you can also relax in the sauna or with a massage. You can also book yourselves manis and pedis at one of the area’s spas, or gather up your bridal party and head to a local salon, where you can practice your ‘dos for the big day.
If an outdoor adventure is more up your alley, treat your guests to a high-flying day at Holiday Valley’s Sky High Adventure Park. Choose from numerous courses and navigate obstacles, ropes, ladders and ziplines that take you through the woods. Sky High also offers the Climbing Forest, a 3D version of a rock wall, and the Sky Flyer Mountain Coaster.
Head to nearby Allegany State Park and spend the day hiking and catching up. Or take the short drive to Griffis Sculpture Park, where you can meander several trails and admire some amazing artwork along the way.
What better way to extend the fun than to stay for the weekend? Choose from numerous lodging options, including hotels, B&Bs, inns and vacation rentals. Want to be steps from the nightlife? The all-new BrickStone Suites, located on the corner of Monroe and Washington Streets, offers newly-renovated lodging with two units that share a huge balcony overlooking the village. Or, book some rooms at Holiday Valley, where you and your peeps can splash around in the indoor/outdoor heated pool, or come summer, in the pool complex, complete with a waterslide.
Of course, you can’t be in EVL and not take the opp to shop! Head to Gado Gado for the perfect digs and accessories to wear pre-wedding, and stroll the village streets to find everything from gifts for your bridesmaids to that special gift for your future hubby.
Weddings are a lot of fun…but also a lot of work! Head to EVL beforehand for a much-deserved break from the planning and countdown to the big day in style!
