Holiday Valley Ski Patrol Collects for Local Community

Well, it’s here! Winter Carinval and Mardi Gras weekend! What better way to kick it off than by giving to those less fortunate and in need? The Holiday Valley Ski Patrol is proud to sponsor the 20th annual food drive to benefit the Ellicottville Food Pantry during Mardi Gras weekend.

Members of the Ski Patrol will be collecting non-perishable food items, paper products, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and cash donations at Tops Market on Friday, March 11 from 4:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 12 from 9:30 a.m. to  6 p.m. You can also donate during the Mardi Gras parade on Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m. Patrollers, wearing their red jackets with white crosses, will be pushing grocery carts on both sides of the street along the route, accepting your generous donations.

What is that, you said? “I don’t have any beads!” We would never leave you out in the cold! In appreciation of your donation, the Ski Patrol is offering strands of Mardi Gras beads to help you enjoy this weekend’s festivities. A string of beads will be given out for each donation made both at Tops and during the parade.

The Ellicottville Food Pantry assists many families who rely upon these donations for basic daily needs. With your support and generosity, we can provide assistance and services to many needy individuals and families in the community.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at danielpbuchanan@yahoo.com or 716-249-1169. I hope to see you all during another fun Mardi Gras weekend. The Holiday Valley Ski Patrol thanks you in advance for your support!
