Emerling Ford has been a big presence on Route 219 in Springville for many years. Recently, however, the building that’s occupied the same space next to the Tops Market since the late 1980s has undergone not just a facelift but an impressive expansion as well.

“Our original building was built in 1989, so it was time to update our services to better serve our customers,” said Carl Emerling, owner of Emerling Ford. “This expansion brings us current with all of Ford’s metro showrooms, making Springville a destination for Western New York.”

The $2 million expansion added more than 4,000 square feet to the building’s footprint.

“We have a new vehicle receiving/pick up area in the showroom, which will allow customers to be out of the elements while getting acquainted with the features of their new Ford vehicle,” explained Emerling. “There is so much technology in the new vehicles, and it takes longer to show customers all the bells and whistles, and being inside a climate controlled area allows us to take our time with that process.”

Other highlights include a larger and expanded service department that, Emerling said, “is now a part of the whole building, being closer to our customers, instead of out back in a separate building.”

In addition, Emerling noted that there is a new customer waiting area (for service), a new client lounge area with a fireplace and an expanded retail parts department.

Now, the dealership is on to the second phase of the project, which, according to Emerling, includes things like “the exterior finishes, such as a parking lot in the front of the new showroom, moving the existing Ford sign, and installing new signage.” The building will also have new landscaping. About 80 percent of the project is completed, and the second phase is on schedule to be done by May or June.

The best part of the Emerling expansion is how it has positively impacted the local economy. “Many local contractors from southern Erie County and Cattaraugus County were a part of the project,” noted Emerling, who cited Haley Concrete, Tom Lowry, Gerwitz Electrical, Delocon Kitchen and Bath, Quaker Craft Mill Work, and D&H Excavation as just a few that have been involved.

Emerling Ford boasts a slogan of “short drive, long term satisfaction.” Since its location is conveniently located right off the 219 expressway, it’s a quick and easy drive from most locations in WNY, and making that drive gives customers access to the Ford dealership that has the highest customer service satisfaction rating of any dealership in the company’s Pittsburgh region, which covers 12,000 square miles, including Springville.

A customer open house will be held upon completion of the second phase of the project. In the meantime, everyone is invited to stop in during business hours and check out the amazing new showroom.

“Western New York is on a roll, and we’re seeing the effects of that growth here in Springville. We’re a part of that!”
