Two major outdoor events are on tap for this first weekend of June in Ellicottville. One is Holiday Valley Cycling Weekend – a three-day guided ride for experienced cyclists. The other is the brand new “Ellicottville Outdoor Expo,” brought to you by the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce.
Cycling Weekend, which runs Friday through Sunday, starts with a 20-mile ride on Friday followed by an evening gathering. Saturday starts with an educational clinic and a 40- to 50-mile morning ride with lunch back at Holiday Valley. Cocktails and dinner will be served on the Overlook Terrace. Sunday’s 80-mile ride is the longest, most challenging and most scenic as it winds through the heart of Amish country. Snacks, a sag wagon and a box lunch are included.
Interested in riding? There’s still space available! Visit www.holidayvalley.com.
Cyclists, their families, other weekend visitors and locals alike will love the opportunity to celebrate all things outdoors on Saturday and Sunday all over town during the two-day Expo. This new event features everything from outdoor yoga, horseback riding and fly fishing clinics to stand-up paddleboard demonstrations, mountain bike clinics, birds of prey shows and so much more.
Holiday Valley’s Sky High Adventure Park, including the mountain coaster and Climbing Forest, will have BOGO deals all weekend long. Holiday Valley also is offering a host of free golf activities for kids and grown-ups on Saturday for Play Golf America Day.
