Now you can add bike rentals to Ellicottville’s already awesome summer scene. On Memorial Day weekend, Spencer Timkey and Tyler Burns of Ellicottville opened the doors to Ellicottville Bike Rentals (EBR).
Offering premium cruiser rentals — the Townie from Electra Bicycle Company — EBR will be operating out of The Boardroom Snowboard Shop’s Flagship location at 6113 Route 219. Open weekends, EBR plans to add weekday hours as we head into the summer months.
“We’re so stoked to get the doors at EBR open,” said Timkey. “We knew how good the bikes were when we ordered them, but once we put them together, we were just blown away. Aesthetically, they’re gorgeous. And they ride unbelievably smooth.”
Timkey added that the idea has always been floated between him and Burns, but this was the summer they decided to finally pull the trigger.
“Summers in Ellicottville have come so far from even five years ago, and we think bike rentals will fill a niche,” he said. “If people are staying at Holiday Valley for a wedding and want something to do in the morning, cruising around on a bike is the way to go.”
EBR offers delivery/pick-up for bike rentals for those staying in the Village or at Holiday Valley, and are now taking reservations. They also carry brands like Stance Socks, GoPro, Oakley sunglasses, SP Gadgets, Outdoor Tech & more.
