Introduction to Fly Fishing Workshop

Here is your chance to learn how to fly fish. Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County and Expert Fly Fisherman Jim Guida as we host an Introduction to Fly Fishing Workshop on Saturday, July 16. The workshop will be held at the Genesee Valley School Grounds (1 Jaguar Drive, Belmont, NY).

Guida has been teaching fly fishing for 25 years and is also an Umpqua Signature fly designer as well as a Pro Staffer for Scientific Anglers and Ross Reels. He will go over equipment needed to successfully fly fish, how to cast, read the water and many other tips to get you started. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes – no waders needed. Everything needed to learn will be supplied by Guida. Space is limited so sign-up soon.

Pre-registration is required. Contact Colleen Cavagna at cc746@cornell.edu or (585) 268-7644 ext. 12. Fee is $15. No refunds, but substitutions will be allowed.
