The Village Planning Board welcomed its new village planner, Gary Palumbo, at is meeting on Tuesday, June 14, the day after the Village board approved his appointment. Palumbo said he was happy to be working with the village again. He served as planner for 10 years some 15 years ago.
Two items were on the board’s agenda but both were tabled until the next meeting.
The first was consideration of Clayton Silvernail’s special use permit application for 11 Martha Street. Silvernail, who plans to renovate the building and create three office spaces, is still dealing with conflicting surveys and solving parking issues. The board was confident that solutions can be found soon, however, so decided to schedule a public hearing on the matter for its July 12 meeting.
An architectural/site review of a three-bay garage with a finished second story at 22 Elizabeth Street also was tabled. The planning board felt it was important to give Palumbo time to review the project plans.
The next meeting of the planning board will be held July 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the village/town hall.
