By Jann Wiswall

Ward asked the board for its approval to expand the school’s drama program to include performance of a non-musical play or a series of one-act plays. He noted that students many students are interested in acting but are not musically inclined. The board approved the proposal and the request to pay two advisors. The board also approved a request by a fifth grader that the school offer theater opportunities to middle school students and older elementary grade students next year.
In closing out the 2015-16 school year, Ward thanked Middle/High School Principal Bob Miller for “all he’s done for graduation. He has some special surprises planned” to make the first graduation in the new facility very special.
