Arts Council Member Show Call for Entries

We want your artwork! Professional artists and hobbyists alike are encouraged to submit work to be included in the upcoming Cattaraugus County Arts Council (CCAC) 2016 Member Show. All current members in good standing and soon-to-be CCAC members are invited to submit one original work, in any medium. See the size restrictions on the Member Show page of the CCAC website, myartscouncil.net. As a benefit of CCAC membership, all members entering will be exhibited, the entry fee has been waived, and there will be “Audience Choice Winners” announced at the opening reception.

The deadline for registering with a photo of your submission and updating your CCAC membership is Aug. 26, 2016. All original artwork is to be delivered to JCC’s Olean campus Center Gallery (framed and/or presented for display) on Sept. 1 or 2 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Guidelines, registering for the show and purchasing memberships can be found and completed online at myartscouncil.net.

CCAC will exhibit works in the Center Gallery at Jamestown Community College. If you agree, your work will be considered available for purchase and each artist must provide a purchase price. CCAC will receive a 25% commission on works sold during the exhibition.

Friends, family, and the public will be welcome to an opening reception on Sept. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the JCC Center Gallery. The reception is free and will feature hors d’oeuvres and happy hour refreshments. Guests will vote for their three favorite pieces and these “Audience Choice” winners will be announced that evening.
