Are you ready to rock and roll? Don’t miss the first festival of the fall in Ellicottville — Rock N’ Roll Weekend — where classic cars meet classic tunes at all the hot-spots on this full weekend of non-stop entertainment.
The event, presented by the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce and sponsored this year by Northtown Auto, starts Friday, Sept. 16, at various venues in the Village. Party Squad will be back by popular demand at Madigan’s at 6 p.m. Miller and the Other Sinners will be rocking the house at Balloons at 7 p.m. and 2 Guys Drinking Beer will appear at 9 p.m. at the Gin Mill.
On Saturday, Sept. 17, the Ellicottville Chamber presents Breakaway at the Winery Mainstage on Monroe Street. This newly re-booted Buffalo band combines “expert musicianship, amazing vocal harmonies and unmatched energy and stage presence.” They’ll be performing their brand of timeless tunes (Beatles, Van Morrison, Grand Funk Railroad, Stevie Wonder, Doobie Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and so much more) from 1 to 4 p.m. and promise to keep you dancing in the streets.
Once you’ve worked up a thirst, head over to Madigan’s for a performance by the Mick Hayes Band or to Balloons for Billy the Kid, both at 6 p.m. Make your last stop of the night at the Gin Mill, where Live & Kickin performs starting at 9 p.m.
On Sunday, Sept. 18, head to the Village Gazebo for Elvis Impersonator Terry Buchwald at 2 p.m. and then head back to the Gin Mill to hear The Flat Tops at 4 p.m.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a classic music weekend without some classic cars to admire and covet! The 17th annual Classic Car Show rides into town on Sunday, Sept. 20, from noon to 5 p.m. Stroll the village streets and check out loads of cars, trucks and rods set up in class order for judging by a panel of experienced car enthusiasts. Awards will be given in a variety of categories, such as antique, classic, custom, rods, convertibles and more.
Ellicottville’s annual Rock N’ Roll weekend is a high-energy weekend packed with the best of live music and the coolest cars around. And even more bands are still to be announced! Keep up with the latest at www.ellicottvilleny.com.
