On Saturday, Oct. 29, the EVL Half and 5K makes its triumphant return to Ellicottville for the third year in a row. Runners adorned in costumes will compete in races of two distances.
Both the half marathon (11 a.m. start) and the 5K (11:15 a.m. start) begin and end in the heart of town at 5 Monroe Street. The course is the same as in years past, with unmatched scenery along the way to look at while establishing your breathing pattern.
At least 1,800 participants are expected this year, which means the fun will be bigger and better than ever. An expo will grace Monroe Street, and spectators are encouraged to attend and cheer on their favorite competitors, as well as people watch and check out the costumes.
Expect some surprises along the way, as well as an awesome after-party at EBC and costume contests with fabulous prizes.
As of press time, the 5K is expected to be full, but limited space is possibly left in the half marathon. For the latest info, visit www.evlhalf.com.
Be sure to stay in EVL after the races and take advantage of tasty food and night life—you deserve it!
