Karly Siperek Receives Youth Citizenship Award

Dr. Anthony Evans, Executive Director of the Cattaraugus County Youth Bureau, is pleased to announce this week’s featured Youth Citizenship Award recipient is Karly Anne Siperek of Little Valley. Karly’s parents are Joseph and Kelly Siperek. She is a senior at Ellicottville Central School.

Karly has been active in her church and served as a Youth Group leader for four years. She has volunteered as a helper for several Red Cross Blood drives and has been certified in first aid through the American Heart Association. As a Cattaraugus County Youth Court team member since middle school, Karly has worked over 60 cases during her tenure. She has also served as a Youth Mentor in a recreational program for persons with developmental disabilities.

Karly has been on the Varsity soccer team for four years. She has played three years of Varsity softball and was on the Varsity cheerleading squad for two years. Other school activities include the ECOS and the Yearbook Clubs.

A medical assisting major at CABOCES with high honor roll grades, Karly has also earned perfect attendance status. Following graduation, Karly plans to go on to nursing school and then embark on a career as a traveling nurse.

Nominations for the 2016-2017 program year are now being accepted.
