The Rotary Club of Ellicottville donated 24 banquet and 14 high-top tables and storage carts to be used in the Rotary Auditorium at the Town Center, enhancing the use of this great space.
“The existing rectangular tables are aging and not very functional for formal gatherings like weddings and parties, so these are a welcome addition,” said manager Justin Dineen.
The Rotary Club of Ellicottville continues to work with the Rotary District 7090’s grant program, which matches funds up to $2,000 to help with this and other projects in the community.
The Rotary Club of Ellicottville and the Town of Ellicottville agreed to a partnership in 2013 to create the Rotary Auditorium in the Ellicottville Town Center. The Rotary Club kicked off the partnership, providing an epoxy floor for the auditorium, with the help of Dineen Painting, followed by installation of “sound management” panels to improve the acoustical properties of the space.
“Our Club wanted to help create a space within the Town Center that could be used by our entire community,” explained Rotarian David Blanchard.
In 2014, Rotary donated and installed an outdoor patio, with the help of local volunteers, providing a natural connection from the Auditorium to the Nannen Arboretum, which is part of the Town Center. This latest donation provides banquet and high-top tables for use in the auditorium for community functions.
Rotarian Marcia Stoddard explained that, “Providing an alternative for weddings and parties, while utilizing the beauty of the Arboretum and the functionality of the auditorium, is a positive addition to our community.”
