Nothing gets one in the mood for St. Patrick’s day better than a night of traditional Irish and Celtic music. Penny Whiskey will be appearing at Springville Center for the Arts (SCA) on March 11 at 8 p.m. Their instrumentation includes guitar, banjo, mandolin, bodhran, and Springville resident Paul Kneis on whistles. Listeners will also enjoy the band’s own compositions, with homegrown bluegrass and folk influences, audience participation, rousing pub songs, and tearful ballads. Their first performance at SCA sold out— you won’t want to miss this show. Tickets are available at SpringvilleArts.org or by calling (716) 592-9038.
