Donations Sought for Michelle Silliker Bench

michelle

On February 21, 2017 Ellicottville lost Michelle Silliker, a remarkable “women”and contributor to our community. She was a Nurse Practitioner who created and built the Olean Medical Group practice in Ellicottville for the past 17 years, which served many patients from in and around Ellicottville.  Michelle fought a long, two- year battle with ovarian cancer and continued to see patients during this time.  She also was a ski patroller at Holimont for the past thirty years, where she collected many friends.

Michelle lived in Allegany with her husband Alan, who has taught counseling psychology at St. Bonaventure for more than 40 years. She considered Ellicottville her “second”  home, frequently hitting the restaurants and shops.  Michelle had many favorite things, but coffee, wine, food, and friends always remained at the top of that list.

As a way to honor Michelle, we would like to have a bench with her name placed in front of the Ellicottville Health Center building.  We are hoping that friends, community members, co-workers, and former patients will contribute to create this permanent thank you for the Silliker family.  Any funds collected in excess of the bench cost will be placed in an education fund for her three- year- old grandson, Owen.

Please make donations to “Michelle Silliker Fund” and mail or drop off to:
