The Rotary Club of Ellicottville’s Tuscan Moon this past Saturday was a tremendous success. Once again the weather was great, a little cooler than normal but nice. Over 150 guests attended adding to the great atmosphere and excitement at the Silent Auction Table. Thanks to the generosity of the guests in both the silent and live auction Rotary will hit their goal of raising $10,000.00 for both Family Support for Ellicottville and Rotary Foundation for Youth.
The Italian Menu with 14 stations was outstanding according to most guests surveyed. Once again this year’s music by Michael Nugent was a hit as Michael played well over 2 hours straight before the live auction. Tom Kneeland’s dessert table was over the top with a two tier Tiramisu the crowning jewel surrounded by Watson’s Chocolates. Many used the “To Go” containers to bring home their favorite.
The Rotary Club would like to thank all of those who attended as well as the local merchants who always support this event with generous donations. Thanks to the 18 ECS students and the Holiday Valley staff that worked so hard at the event. Of course we want to send a special thank you to all of the area restaurants, Sysco US Foods, and Maplevale that made those outstanding specialties for all to enjoy, and of course John Harvard’s – Centerplate and Holiday Valley make it all possible for this Ellicottville tradition. Last but not least, thanks to the friends of Rotary who dedicate their time to make this event run as smooth as possible.
Tuscan Moon provides the funds needed to support the projects for Family Support and the Foundation for Youth throughout the year. We will release the revenue information once the accounting is done.
Thank you Ellicottville!
