Night Lights Griffis

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to check out Griffis Sculpture Park, that excuse is here. NIGHT LIGHTS at the park are back and run on select evenings through Sunday, Oct. 8. Griffis Sculpture Park will again be illuminated with colorful and theatrical lighting for the fifth consecutive year.

“We are thrilled to welcome back NIGHT LIGHTSs this year for a bigger and better year!” said Griffis Sculpture Park Executive Director, Nila Griffis.  “We have a lot of exciting changes including video projection on site, as well as the addition of special event nights – highlighting music from The Observers.  We love having visitors view the park in such a unique manner especially during our regular season we close at dusk.  This allows visitors to interact with art and nature in a different time and light!  NIGHT LIGHTS completely changes the landscape and sculptures that are featured along the path.  The lights are done in such a creative manner that you often wonder if you are in the same location.”

If you’ve never experienced NIGHT LIGHTS at the park, you’ll be blown away by the sculptures and natural surroundings lit up with awe-inspiring displays of lights and colors. “During NIGHT LIGHTS, visitors get to experience a trio of experiences: art, lights and nature. The sculptures take on a whole look bathed in colorful LED lights,” noted Doug Ditle, of Sitler HQ, who creates the light displays.

NIGHT LIGHTS at Griffis Sculpture Park is open for four consecutive weeks, Wednesday through Saturday and on Sunday, Oct. 8. Admission will be $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 to 7. Six and under are free.

Dates and times are as follows:  Sept. 13-16, Sept. 20-23, Sept. 27-30, Oct. 4-8; Wednesdays and Thursdays 7:30-9:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays (and Sunday, Oct. 8) 7:30- 10 p.m.

“We welcome visitors back for this special occasion and hope to draw people that have never been to the park as well!” Griffis said.
