The 3rd quarter ending Aug. 31 saw Ellicottville just a few dollars off the all-time high in lodging sales set in 2015, and that was the last year the World Bowhunting Championships were here.
Year-to-date, Ellicottville accounted for 62 percent of all county room revenue and it looks like September to November will be chart toppers. “We have had many weekends with 80 percent or better occupancy this fall, and the next two weekends are very strong,” stated Brian McFadden, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. “Weddings, conferences and events have all seen increased bookings and the fall warm weather was the icing on the cake,” he went on to say.
Congratulations to our all our members— it takes a team. We have an amazing mix of retail and restaurants, and who can talk about Ellicottville without raving about the night time entertainment. We should all be very proud to call this our permanent home, weekend getaway for our non-resident home owners and place of employment for those who commute to work each day.
