Local Ski Racing: Briselden Brings Home Two Golds From U21/19 Eastern Finals

U21/19 athletes from across the East Coast gathered at Gore Mountain March 23 – 25 for the annual Eastern Finals. This series was comprised of a Super-G, Giant Slalom and Slalom.

Super-G Men: Nathan Briselden of Holiday Valley continued his successful season with another gold medal winning the race by 0.29 seconds. Jes Sauereisen (HV) finished in 17th and Joshua Allegra (HV) took 35th.

Super-G Women: Taylor Hubert (HV) finished 7th.

Giant Slalom Men: Joshua Allegra (HV) took 27th and Jes Sauereisen (HV) finished 33rd.

Giant Slalom Women: Taylor Hubert (HV) finished 6th.

Slalom Men: Nathan Briselden (HV) again took home the gold medal and teammate Joshua Allegra finished 28th.

Slalom Women: Taylor Hubert (HV) took 22nd.

U16 Athletes from across the East Coast traveled to Waterville Valley Resort in Waterville Valley, NH March 23 – 25 for the annual Eastern Finals. This series was comprised of a Super-G, Giant Slalom and Slalom.

Super-G Women: Caroline DeRose of Holiday Valley finished in the top 10 with an 8th place finish.

Super-G Men: Ross Fuller (HV) took 42nd.

Giant Slalom Women: Caroline DeRose (HV) remained consistent finishing again in 8th place.

Giant Slalom Men: Ross Fuller (HV) improved upon his Super-G result taking 31st.

Slalom Men: Ross Fuller (HV) continued to improve finishing in 27th.

March 17 and 18 U21/19/16 athletes gathered at HoliMont for the annual Spring Series Races. This is two days of racing with two races each day. Saturday was two Giant Slaloms and Sunday was two Slaloms.

Giant Slalom No. 1 Men: Nathan Briselden of Holiday Valley finished with the silver medal. Maxxon Solly of HoliMont took 5th, Jes Sauereisen (HV) 10th, Joshua Allegra (HV) 12th, Nicholas Scott (HO) 14th, Ross Fuller (HV) 19th, William Peters (HO) 21st, Michael Turnbull (HO) 28th and Mitchell Azcarate (HV) 32nd.

Giant Slalom No. 1 Women: Lauren Thomas of Holiday Valley took gold with teammate Caroline DeRose finishing with the silver medal. Zoe Knauss (HO) took 5th, Kate Carter (HO) 8th, Megan Peters (HO) 11th, Rory Sauereisen (HV) 12th and Evelyn Polly (HV) 14th.

Giant Slalom No. 2 Men: Nathan Briselden (HV) once again took home the silver medal. Maxxon Solly of HoliMont finished 8th, Nicholas Scott (HO) 10th, Joshua Allegra (HV) 14th and Ross Fuller (HV) 17th. Michael Turnbull (HO) finished 21st, William Peters (HO) 22nd, Will Knauss (HO) 26th, Jes Sauereisen (HV) 29th and Mitchell Azcarate (HV) 30th.

Giant Slalom No. 2 Women: Caroline DeRose of Holiday Valley found herself on top of the podium with the gold medal. Teammate Lauren Thomas took home the bronze. Zoe Knauss (HO) finished 5th, Megan Peters (HO) 10th, Rory Sauereisen (HV) 11th, Kate Carter (HO) 12th and Evelyn Polly (HV) 13th.

Slalom No. 1 Men: Nathan Briselden (HV) again took home the silver medal. Maxxon Solly (HO) finished 7th, Joshua Allegra (HV) 10th, Nicholas Scott (HO) 11th, Ross Fuller (HV) 16th, Will Knauss (HO) 18th, Jes Sauereisen (HV) 21st and Michael Turnbull (HO) 22nd.

Slalom No. 1 Women: Zoe Knauss (HO) took home the gold medal. Taylor Hubert (HV) finished 5th, Megan Peters (HO) 8th, Rory Sauereisen (HV) 9th and Kate Carter (HO) 10th.

Slalom No. 2 Men: Nathan Briselden (HV) finished with the bronze medal. Maxxon Solly (HO) took 8th, Joshua Allegra (HV) 11th, Nicholas Scott (HO) 14th, Jes Sauereisen (HV) 17th, Will Knauss (HO) 18th, Michael Turnbull (HO) 20th, William Peters (HO) 24th and Ross Fuller (HV) 28th.

Slalom No. 2 Women: Zoe Knauss (HO) again found herself on the podium with the gold medal. Taylor Hubert (HV) took 6th, Megan Peters (HO) 7th, Kate Carter (HO) 10th and Rory Sauereisen (HV) 11th.
